China Organic Food Certification Center
Qualification
Founded in 2022, China Organic Food Certification Center (COFCC) is a specialized institution under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs dedicated to promoting the development of organic agriculture.
It is also the first organic product certification agency in China approved by the China National Certification and Accreditation Supervision and Administration Commission.
The daily operations of the Organic Office are undertaken by COFCC.
Our History
2001
The Ministry of Agriculture has implemented the"Action Plan for Pollution Free Food" for the firsttime, which accelerated the development of greenfood, organic agriculture and organic agriculturalproducts. Organic agriculture and organic agricultural productswere included in the scope of national agriculturalproduct quality and safety supervision.
2002.08
According to the strategic deployment of "green food,organic food, and pollution-free food" in the "ActionPlan for Pollution free Food" of the Ministry of Agriculture, the preliminary preparation work of COFCC has been fully carried out.
2002.10
COFCC has been officially established. COFCC is wholly-owned by China Green Food Development Center, marking the official launch of organic agriculture, organic food certification, and management in the agricultural system.
2002.12
COFCC has been approved by CNCA, with certificationbody approval number CNCA-R-2002-100, registered as thefirst organic certification body by CNCA in China.
2003
The organic certification work of theagricultural system has been fully launched, and in 2003 the number of certified enterprises exceeded 100, with a total of 231 products and 134600 tons of products.
